Elaine’s journey is a powerful reminder of what consistency and belief in the process can achieve. Through dedicated strength training, showing up week after week, and lifting progressively heavier weights (including a 240lb deadlift!), she has made remarkable progress — increasing her strength, improving her bone density, and building confidence in her body.
All of this has come after navigating chemotherapy multiple times and challenges that many might see as setbacks. Elaine chose instead to keep moving forward.
Her commitment to strength training has not only supported her health, but empowered her to continue getting stronger later in life. Elaine’s progress is a testament to resilience, patience, and what’s possible when you invest in yourself. For the last 3 years she has ended each session with the adage "it's been fun!" and I couldn't agree more!

"Mike has been a fantastic find for my strength training. He has great attention to detail - he sees what is going well, what needs to be tweaked and is on top of good form consistently. This is not in my experience easy to find. I like when he points out why we're doing a specific exercise, so I know the end goal and which muscle(s) we're focused on. It makes it a team effort with a skilled knowledgeable guide. He knows what my goals are, and we continue to work towards them.....he doesn't give up even when I sometimes feel like it.
